Vines, Birds, and Flowers-Embedded Image

First, let me wish all my blogging friends a Happy Easter. If you're travelling, stay safe.
I hope to make it to an Easter cantata this weekend as my community choir is not doing
one for this holiday.

Yes, it is the day I always do a card for the Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers. This week the Queen is Gail aka mamasix. I cased this pretty card of hers. Of course, I changed some things. I do love the embedded image technique. I stamped my background vine and punched a few hydrangeas and then ran through the embossing folder. This embeds the flowers into the panel. My birds are punched and popped on. I also popped up a few of the vine leaves.

Probably won't see you until Monday when I'll have a new card to post. I plan to work in my yard
tomorrow. I think it is supposed to be a beautiful weekend. Yippee!

CCEE Stampers-embossing challenge

I'm up before daylight and the birds are chirping out in the woods like crazy. They're so happy Spring is here and guess what, so am I! The dogwoods and azaleas are just about through blooming  and that's very strange because usually they haven't even begun blooming at this time.

But, today is about poppies. I just love them and my set is called Poppies and Greetings and is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. This is my first time to use this set and I find it very easy for coloring. I'm also using a sketch from Splitcoaststampers, SC330.

Cindy Haffner gave the challenge this week at CCEE STAMPERS to do embossing on our cards. I have used my Swiss Dot embossing folder for the panel behind my poppies and the strip above my checked paper. My buttons are also embossed.

You know you love embossing so we hope you'll join us this week.

Get Well Card

I've updated Blogger and having to get used to it. I'm just wondering how everyone likes it. I guess none of us likes change and I'm longing for the old style back. As a matter of fact, this post was scheduled for just after midnight and it didn't post until I got up this morning and got it posted. Ugh!
Maybe I'll un-update. LOL

I worked in my yard this weekend and I'm exhausted. That is hard but enjoyable work. I may put up some photos of my yard and flowers soon. I've made a few over the last few years. :-)

This week, challenge #14 at Friends of Speedy TV (FOSTV) at Home of Speedy TV is to make a get well card. I am using sketch #348 from Splitcoaststampers and I really like it and will use it again. One of the stamp sets I'm using is from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company and is called Black Eyed Susans for Encouragement. I stamped it twice, colored, and popped the second layer. I really like the back panel of dots. It is from  a set called Flaps My Wattles, also from Mark's Finest Papers.  I stamped the back strip several times down the panel, stamping off a few times.

You really should come join us, make a card, add with the inlinkz tool,  and you could possibly be the lucky winner of this stamp set we're giving away this week, You Light Up Your Life.

This is a separate challenge from  Speedy Fox and Friends Blog challenge where there is also a stamp set given away to a lucky winner.

I'm entering my card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog-Anything Goes
